On behalf of our small group of volunteers based here on Station 134, Eye, Suffolk , UK,  wartime home of the 490th BG, welcome to our new Web site.

The site has been created as an extension to our original web page made at the time of the installation of the Main 490th BG Memorial in Eye and is intended to give an idea of the information we have available in our archive, about the 490th BG itself 43/45, the engineers that constructed the airfield, the surrounding community and the impact of the Friendly Invasion to everyone and to serve as a point of contact into the future.

We are always happy to receive visitors on line or in person and only ask that you quote your connection (if any) when getting in touch.
